We always say “it takes YOU to make it happen” and ask the community to purchase $5 buttons for 4 days of performances, art, food, crafts, friends and fun. We think it’s an incredible deal and it continues to remain an important source of support for the Festival…but it is just not enough.
This year the Ithaca Festival finds itself in a challenging financial situation. It’s now more important than ever that our community rally to the support of its favorite festival. Your support will help ensure a successful festival in 2009 and beyond. Ithaca Festival Players are recognized in special ways and updated on important festival news. This year’s event is once again shaping up to be something special. Your support will help make it a reality and Let the Sunshine In on Festival 2009.
While our financial situation is challenging, it is not insurmountable. It requires that for the next several years we not only fund successful festivals, but are also able to retire some of our debt from the unsuccessful expansion in 2008. The Ithaca Festival Board and Staff is committed to increasing funding levels and working extra hard to trim costs while maintaining the spirit of the festival we all love. This effort to bolster our annual donors campaign is one example of this commitment.
